About Us

Polarama is an Icelandic Film, TV Series & TVC, production company located in Iceland specializing in production service.

Polarama Greenland is an independent and self-owned sub-division of Polarama. Based in Nuuk, the northernmost capital of the world, the company will provide high level production service including casting.

Rebates

25% of film and television productions performed in Iceland are reimbursed by the Icelandic government. There is no cap or floor on the amount of reimbursement and the turnaround time is between 8-12 weeks.

20% of the total production costs incurred in other EEA and EU countries as well as recently Greenland and Faroe Islands is eligible for tax rebate in the Icelandic system.

We will assist you every step of the way, making sure your expenditure qualifies for the rebate and making all necessary legal arrangements and paperwork.

Our team has a special talent for hunting down unique locations and stitching them together to complete your vision. Sometimes one location might be well suited for background and another for foreground. And sometimes we need our world to look like the moon or antarctica. But those places are pretty hard to work on a tight schedule with a large crew.
